Children's Ministry

Children’s Ministry at Canyon View consists of a team of people who love kids and work together with parents to prepare young lives that will touch the future. Our goal is to encourage children to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who will be the church in action now and in the generation to come.

Coleen Bevan - Children's Pastor

Coleen began her Pastoral ministry in Santa Maria, Ca. in 1994 where she led a ministry of 300 plus children and an adult team of 150. She was also the regional Children’s ministry representative for her district.  Her major was in Early Childhood Education and she has been a Christian Education leader for 20 years. She came to Canyon View in 2000 and with her staff now leads a multi-faceted team of 200 adults and over 350 children.  Coleen has a passion to see children’s hearts touched and opened up to the love of God through their church family.  Her ministry has had a strong impact on both young and old, working with hundreds of people to equip them to serve in ministry and find fulfillment by sharing their life, growing in their gifts and talents and forever transforming and shaping the destiny of a child. Coleen has been happily married for 29 years and has 4 grown children.
