CVCF Global Missions

Canyon View supports 73 missionaries from around the world and it is the Global Missions Team that is responsible for increasing understanding and awareness of the role of missions worldwide. Through weekly communication of our missionaries’ prayer needs, bi-monthly missions oriented Small Group meetings, annual conventions with an opportunity to meet missionaries and pledge financial support, and frequent opportunities for short term missions trips; every person at CVCF has the opportunity and is encouraged to be involved in sharing Christ around the world. As a little girl, Joy was amazed by the stories she heard missionaries tell. Something in those stories stirred her heart, and she wm ent on a month-long medical mission trip to Jamaica while she was attending Bible school. She was able to combine her nursing skills and her faith. The result was that hearts were opened to gospel. Moreover, she learned that the missionaries were real, down-to-earth people with unique challenges. Over the years she has been on over 50 short-term mission trips throughout the world. Her goal is not only to serve people in that country, but also to serve the missionaries who live there full time. As the leader of the global missions team, she is passionate about equipping others to do the same.
